Album terbaru Avenged Sevenfold, "Nightmare" ternyata dapat berbicara banyak di pasaran musik AS. Setalah mendapat berbagai penghargaan sepanjang 2010 hingga 2011, kemarin RIAA mendaulat album "Nightmare" dengan sertifikat "Gold" setelah penjulaan album tersebut mencapai angka 500.00 di seluruh dunia. Sebelumnya, album self-titled A7X juga mendapat sertifikat "Gold" dengan penjualan mencapai angka 709.309 di seluruh dunia. Patut kita tunggu apakah album "Nightmare" ini mampu mendapat sertifikat "Platinum" seperti album mereka di tahun 2005, City Of Evil setelah penjualan albumnya mencapai angka 1.043.709 di seluruh dunia. Namun, pencapaian A7X tidak sampai disitu. Di saat bersamaan, single kedua mereka, Welcome To The Family juga meraih posisi #1 di BDS Active Rock Format USA. Prestasi yang bertubi-tubi ini tak pelak membuat nama A7X diperhitungkan kembali sebagai band papan atas di AS. Prestasi ini juga menjadi kado indah bagi Almarhum The Rev yang telah meninggal dunia 2009 lalu. Sekedar informasi, Album "Nightmare" diproduseri oleh Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) dan dimix oleh Andy Wallace. Album "Nightmare" dirilis setalah kematian tragis sang drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Los Angeles Times menyatakan bahwa album "Nightmare" merupakan album yang diraih setlah balada kepergian The Rev. Sementara, USA Today mengungkapkan bahwa A7X adalah band dengan karakter unik dalam genre metal, yaitu dengan permainan melodi yang menawan dan permainan rythym sehebat Jack Hammer (Metallica) serta karakter vokal yang garang. Semoga saja album "Nightmare" dapat mendapat sertifikat Platinum bahkan Diamonds seperti album-album milik legenda pop, Michael Jackson. Dan semoga dengan prestasi yang bergelimang ini membuat A7X semakin kreatif dalam berkarya. Ya, A7X PASTI BISA !!!
